CRIMAC's main lines of research are divided into three branches covering different areas of expertise:

Infrastructure enhancement
For marine coastal environmental monitoring and research in deep environments and species of the habitats that characterize them

Biodiversity study
As an element in the development of new biological knowledge and for habitats conservation, to promote the development of protected areas and improve the quality of the marine environment

Eco-sustainable growth
Integrated management of the coastal strip to promote blue tourism and eco-sustainable seaside tourism activities
