CRIMAC at the 2026 Blue Flag Festival in Amendolara

A flag-raising ceremony took place in Piazza Fanfani in Amendolara Marina to mark the return of the Blue Flag to Amendolara after 14 years.

Dr Teresa Romeo, Director of CRIMAC – Calabria Marine Centre at the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn, also took part in the event entitled ‘A Blue Flag Sea: Sustainability, Tourism and Coastal Enhancement’.

An opportunity for dialogue between institutions, the local area and the local community.

The presence of the Crimac seat in the Calabria Region has become a point of reference for the municipalities along the Ionian coast of Cosenza, providing support for regional policies on coastal zone management, sustainable tourism and marine conservation.
