Three intense days have just concluded at the EMBRC Science Days 2026 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, an important opportunity for discussion within the international scientific community working in marine sciences.
The CRIMAC – Calabria Marine Centre was represented by Chiara Giommi, Facility Manager of the centre and representative of the Italian node within the Mesocosms Working Group.
During the event, strategic topics for the future of marine research were addressed, including the role of marine stations, mesocosm research, research infrastructures, and international scientific collaboration. It was a valuable opportunity to share experiences, strengthen collaborative networks, and contribute to the development of EMBRC activities at the European level.
In addition to the scientific sessions, the meeting fostered dialogue and the exchange of ideas among researchers, technologists, and research infrastructure managers from many countries.
We would like to thank the organizers and all participants for the constructive discussions and the excellent success of the event.
