To mark World Oceans Day, the Strait of Messina became an exceptional underwater laboratory. A major research campaign was led by the scientific team directed by Dr Romeo, assisted by Dr Pica and Dr Berti.
Thanks to the support of an elite team of technical divers, who travelled from all over Italy and were equipped with the most advanced technology, a mission that goes beyond a mere technical challenge has been successfully completed. It was a true expedition of discovery: the collection of rare specimens that will now be analysed in the CRIMAC laboratories, providing valuable data for the protection of this extraordinary ecosystem, which is unique in the world.
This success is the result of an incredible synergy between scientific research, technological innovation and institutions.
