Last day of school: a farewell and a special thank you!

We’d like to say goodbye to you with a big THANK YOU and a little trip down memory lane, recalling the wonderful days of science outreach we’ve spent together – moments of discovery, curiosity and sharing over the past year.

We had the pleasure of meeting no fewer than 369 middle and high school students along the way: to all of you, we hope we have ignited that spark that sets everything in motion: the desire to learn.

If that spark has been kindled, cherish it and nurture it. Don’t let it die out.

We will always be here, ready to welcome it.

And actually… we’re NOT going on holiday

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 10 June to celebrate the first five years of CRIMAC – the Centre for Advanced Marine Research and Infrastructure in Calabria!

A heartfelt thank you to the school principals,

Teachers, chaperons and, of course, you, the students, from the schools:

  • IC Amendolara-Oriolo-Roseto
  • “A. Scopelliti” Girifalco-Cortale Comprehensive School
  • IIS Pitagora Policoro
  • Vocational Technical Centre “Aletti-Filangieri”
  • Lauropoli – Sibari – Cassano Jonio Comprehensive School

We would also like to thank the Grest of the Madonna della Salute Parish in Amendolara and the students on the advanced training course “Blue, Green and Orange Economy, Archaeology from Space” run by the “Sibari Inter-University Laboratory” for sharing moments of discussion and learning with us.

Special thanks also go to the entire team at the Calabria Marine Centre, who, with passion and expertise, have designed themed tours, scientific presentations and hands-on activities: a real investment in the minds of the future.

Happy holidays to everyone… and see you very soon!
