Plastic in Our Seas: A Problem That Affects US All!

Have you ever wondered where the plastic waste we throw away every day ends up? The reality is that, all too often, it ends up in the sea, where it remains for hundreds of years, damaging the oceans and the animals and plants that live there.

But all is not lost! At the CRIMAC centre, we’re running a super-interactive workshop where you and your friends will learn how to sort plastic waste and understand the harm it causes to the marine environment!

Join us for a real treasure hunt! Together, we’ll discover just how much plastic is hidden along our coastline and learn to identify it by its size, shape and colour.

Thanks to our advanced equipment, it will also be possible to identify the type of plastic they are made of by analysing their spectra! A unique opportunity to learn how science can help us better understand pollution and its consequences.

Not only will you learn how to sort the different types of plastic found in the environment, but you’ll also understand how they harm marine animals and the entire ecosystem. An educational and worthwhile experience that makes a real difference!

Join us and become a Guardian of the Oceans!
