Science and aperitifs: a winning combination

Last night, July 23rd,, we spent an evening at UMAMI celebrating the sea, research and sharing.

We have reported on the work of CRIMAC – the Calabria Marine Centre of the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn – the biodiversity that characterises the Amendolara’s Bank Marine Park, the increasingly urgent problem of microplastics, and the vital role played by microalgae, which form the basis of marine life.

An open dialogue with the audience, filled with curiosity, questions, reflections and a great desire to learn.

This is precisely the value of having a research centre in our area: sharing knowledge and creating opportunities for discussion.

Because science can be discussed anywhere… even over a nice aperitif.

Thank you to UMAMI for their hospitality and to Giulia for making this wonderful opportunity to share our work possible.
