The Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn meets the “IC Lauropoli-Sibari-Cassano J.”

Yesterday morning, we had the pleasure of welcoming three secondary school classes, accompanied by their teachers. It was a memorable experience for the young students, who had the opportunity to visit the CRIMAC site in Amendolara!

Lorenzo Evola and Serena Scozzafava guided the children on an exploration of the seabed at Amendolara’s bank and showed them the effects caused by marine litter.

On the beach, Salvatore Urso shared some interesting facts about the inhabitants of these fascinating places.

Workshops on marine biodiversity (Lucrezia Spagoni and Livia Benedini took the students on a journey through marine species) and on marine microalgae (Teresa Greca and Mariaeugenia Samà revealed the secrets of these organisms… and just how important they are for our oceans and beyond!)

A fun finale with the usual CRIMACquiz: the three classes shared the points… and all finished level on points!

To conclude, the well-deserved presentation of prizes to the young explorers and the customary official photo in front of the logo of the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn.

A heartfelt thank you to all the pupils and teachers for the curiosity and enthusiasm they have shown!
