Valentina Costa, a researcher at the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn – CRIMAC, took part in the BioDT School & Hackathon

This is an unmissable event for professionals wishing to enhance their skills in digital modelling and the latest innovations in the study of biodiversity.

The course, organised as part of the BioDT project (https://biodt.eu/), represents a cutting-edge initiative in the creation of Digital Twins. But what are Digital Twins? They are virtual models of real ecosystems, which enable detailed simulations and analyses to be carried out. During the course, advanced technologies were utilised, including supercomputers, FAIR data principles and open APIs, to explore new ways of modelling biodiversity and promote an increasingly integrated and predictive approach to the study of ecosystems.
