We are celebrating the fifth anniversary of the opening of CRIMAC, the international research centre of the Stazione Zoologica of Amendolara in Calabria.

This project was conceived by former President Roberto Danovaro, with the assistance of former Mayor, lawyer Ciminelli. Despite the initial challenges, we have succeeded in establishing a centre with over 25 researchers working on numerous projects, such as marine-based medicines, offshore wind power, coastal management, and collaborations with the Calabria Region, the public prosecutor’s offices, and local mayors. We are celebrating these first five years and hope that they are just the beginning of a long and fruitful journey.
